Tjitske Hartman has been working at Sioux since 2023 as Senior Group Lead in the Application Software department. With her expertise in people management, she supports and facilitates employees in both their technical and personal growth, including their career development within Sioux.

Tjitske: 'What I enjoy most about my work is developing people and everything that comes with it. At my previous employer, in addition to my role as a people manager, I also had responsibilities in delivery management and account management. However, I realized that I wanted to focus more on people, without the commercial aspect. That’s why I chose to become a group leader at Sioux, where this focus is central. My focus now is purely on the development and well-being of the employees, and I find that to be a special and valuable aspect of working at Sioux.'

'My own development also matters. Here, you really have the freedom to determine: What do I want to do and how do I want to shape my development? Last year, I fulfilled that with training, and this year I’m using my personal development budget for a coaching program. The great thing is that I can organize this myself and have the freedom to determine my learning path. That autonomy and flexibility make it extremely valuable for me.’

'The development of people is central here.'

Together at Sioux

'We create together at Sioux, and everyone is willing to help or have a conversation. This is supported by Sioux Labs, an important meeting place for our employees, where people enjoy coming together frequently. You can go there for content presentations and socials, from lunch to board game nights, as long as it contributes to social cohesion within the organization. The existence of such a place speaks volumes about the people-oriented culture here.'
